Ms. Shylit has been working with my 9 year old son for the last two years and it has been an incredible journey. Ms. Shylit is a close member of my son’s “team”. She works closely with his teachers, school administrators and therapists to be sure the best possible care is in place.

The consideration, thoughtfulness and patience Ms. Shylit posesses is beyond words. My son has grown so much with Ms. Shylit’s guidance. Her knowledge of figuring out what works best for every individual child is second to none …. It is an intuition she has to find the strengths and weaknesses in each child and let them work on themselves without knowing they need the help.

We could not have come this far without Ms. Shylit. We owe so much to her and are lucky to have found her. She will always be part of our “team”. Please know if you choose to work with Ms. Shylit you have made one of the best decisions in helping your child.

Erin came into our lives when we really needed a confident, compassionate consummate professional to help our son overcome challenges in his pre-school environment. Erin developed routines to help navigate transitions and unpredictability in the classroom as well as explicit coping strategies that my son can use when he is frustrated/upset. She also offered his teachers creative strategies and specific language to help foster positive social encounters and further academic success. In the short period of time that we worked with Erin, we saw wonderful changes in our son’s behavior as well as a lovely rapport develop between teacher and student.

Erin is one of the most talented and caring providers that I have come across. I observed her working style while we shared a complex child case that evolved from learning disorder and ADHD presentation into an additional anxiety and severe depression diagnoses. Erin handled the transition and the case masterfully. She tailored her skill set to give the child academic support while accounting for his mood variations. To do so, Erin communicated with the team on a daily basis. She truly demonstrated her dedication when working or speaking on weekends and at late hours.

As a person, Erin is pleasant and enjoyable to work with. She maintains professionalism while weaving in humor and playfulness required to work with challenging child cases. I recommend her for any child special education setting. Her skills and knowledge would be an asset to her team.

I hired Erin to support my child with ADHD and anxiety in a mainstream summer camp program. She was wonderful at building rapport with my son; she created an Angry Birds (his favorite) themed reward chart so that he could earn points for positive behavior, which he could exchange for a prize at the end of the day. He was highly motivated by this, and the positive reinforcement was a great boost to his self-esteem. She was skilled at helping him manage the many transitions throughout the camp day, and she gave excellent coaching to guide him through tricky social situations. Most importantly, my son was very happy at the end of each day and had an extremely positive summer experience due to Erin’s support. I would highly recommend her services!

Erin has been absolutely wonderful with our daughter. Thanks to Erin’s incredible skillfulness, the anxious, overwhelmed and frustrated little girl turned into a very successful student. Erin has proved to be an amazing advocate for our daughter. She communicates with us every day and provides us helpful and detailed notes about our daughter’s day, and is always available to discuss further questions and strategies with us.

Erin possesses superior skills, unending patience and a vast experience. She is warm, caring and empathic. All these talents have doubtlessly helped Erin handle the difficult situations of the classroom, and we consider ourselves very privileged to have Erin in the team of people who help put our daughter on a road to success. We believe that any child that benefits from Erin’s help is most fortunate.

Erin has been a tutor for my six year-old son. My wife and I have been thrilled with the job Erin has done with our son. He was diagnosed with ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and needless to say this has resulted in difficulties with his behavior and performance in school. Erin has been wonderful with him. She has shown great patience with him, even when his behavior has been disruptive and certainly not conducive to learning. She has handled these difficult situations with great skill, undoubtedly a result of her training and experience in special education. Most importantly, she has demonstrated genuine compassion for my son and a deep understanding of the challenges that he faces. We consider ourselves very fortunate to count her among the people that help our son to succeed.

Our son has shown significant academic progress this year and we are sure that much of the credit belongs to Erin. We realize that not just any teacher would be able to be an effective tutor for him; it requires the particular combination of skill, experience, patience, and empathy that Erin possesses. I would recommend her highly without reservation.
